A disused railway line near the Haute Vienne village of Bussiere-Galant has been turned into a day out with a difference - a velo rail. For a few euros per person, you can hire a wheeled chariot powered by your own muscles, and trundle away over a 6km stretch of track. Single-line track, too - when you meet another contraption coming in the opposite direction, one party has to hoist the thing off the rails and wait until the others pass!
